These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Grimoire of Mild Inconveniences at grimoireofminorinconveniences.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Oakstone Services, LLC (“Oakstone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. The Site
The Site is a public, static-first webcomic and related collection of artwork and writing. It is provided for entertainment, artistic, and informational purposes. The Site does not currently provide user accounts, comments, purchases, subscriptions, or user-submitted content.
2. Ownership and permission to use the Site
The Site and its contents—including artwork, illustrations, text, page designs, logos, graphics, and code—are owned by Oakstone or used with permission and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Site for personal, non-commercial use.
Except where the law permits otherwise, you may not reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, license, adapt, remove rights notices from, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission. Linking to a public page on the Site and ordinary browser caching are permitted. No rights are granted by implication.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site in violation of any applicable law or another person’s rights;
- attempt to interfere with, damage, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its hosting systems;
- introduce malicious code, probe for vulnerabilities, or bypass access or security controls;
- misrepresent your affiliation with the Site or use Site content in a deceptive or unlawful way; or
- use automated means to extract Site content at a volume or frequency that burdens the Site, except for ordinary search-engine indexing or as otherwise authorized in writing.
4. Third-party links
The Site may link to websites or services operated by others. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or privacy practices. A link does not imply endorsement. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service’s own terms and policies.
5. Availability and changes
We may add, remove, correct, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We do not promise that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that every browser or device will render each leaf in precisely the same way.
6. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Nothing on the Site is legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oakstone and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or use, arising from or related to the Site. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our liability is limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law. These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that is not subject to a mandatory alternative forum will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Colorado. Mandatory consumer protections available under the law where you live remain unaffected.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted here with an updated effective date. Changes apply prospectively when posted unless a later date is stated. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
10. General terms
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us concerning use of the Site.
