This Privacy Policy explains how Oakstone Services, LLC (“Oakstone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit The Grimoire of Mild Inconveniences at grimoireofminorinconveniences.com (the “Site”).
1. Scope and summary
The Site is a public, static-first webcomic. It has no user accounts, comment forms, checkout, mailing-list form, or advertising system. We do not ask you to provide personal information through the Site. Like nearly every website, however, the Site’s server may process limited technical information needed to deliver pages securely and reliably.
2. Information handled when you visit
Information you provide
The Site does not currently collect information through forms. If you choose to contact us by email, we receive the address, message, and other information you include and use it to respond, keep appropriate business records, protect our rights, and comply with law.
Server and network data
Our hosting and network systems may automatically process standard request information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested URL, referring page, date and time, response status, and diagnostic or security events. This information may appear in short-term or operational logs. We use it to deliver the Site, maintain security, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate Site performance.
Local browser storage
The optional “Ambient scriptorium” control uses one local-storage entry,
named grimoire:ambience, to preserve the value “off.” This is
designed to prevent sound from starting unexpectedly on a later visit. The
value stays on your device, is not transmitted to us by the Site’s script,
and may be removed through your browser’s site-data controls. The current
leaf is represented in the page URL after a hash mark and is not stored in
a user profile.
3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The Site does not intentionally set cookies and does not include third-party advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts. We do not use Site activity for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If these practices change, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent before using non-essential technologies.
