The Volume is a public, static-first webcomic. It hath no user accounts, comments, checkout, mailing-list form, or advertising shrine. It asketh not thy name, thy lineage, nor the name of thy first familiar. Yet the server, like nearly every gatekeeper of the web, may briefly handle technical signs needed to deliver and defend the pages.
II. Of tidings freely sent
No form upon the Volume collecteth thy words. Shouldst thou email us of thy own choosing, we receive the address, message, and whatever else thou placest therein. We use such tidings to answer, preserve proper business records, guard our rights, and obey the law. Send not secret runes that are unnecessary to the matter.
III. Of the footprints seen by the gate
Hosting and network engines may note ordinary request signs: an IP address, browser or device kind, the leaf requested, the referring page, time and date, response status, and diagnostic or security events. Such marks may dwell in operational logs. V. Of cookies and commercial augury
The Volume intentionally setteth no cookies. It summoneth no third-party advertising pixels and no third-party analytics scripts. We neither sell personal information nor share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, nor use thy reading to place targeted wares before thee. Should these practices ever change, this notice shall change first, and consent shall be sought wherever the law demandeth it.
VI. Why the few marks are used
The limited signs described above serve only these ends:

The Volume is not directed to children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly gather their personal information through it. If thou believest a child hath sent such information, tell us, and we shall review and remove it where appropriate.
XI. Of thy choices and rights
Thy browser can erase the local-storage mark and limit referrer or other site data. Depending upon thy dwelling place, the law may also grant rights to inspect, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses.
